We made it......halfway!

The feeling of relief as we drove onto the army base cannot be described! We had made it! No kangaroos, no cattle collisions, no collision with road trains, no breakdowns! We had done it smoothly!

We even managed to give a few hitch hikers a lift!

However, the reception at Grumpy's and Nanna's was not quite so warm........

But we were eventually allowed through!

And then my Ford loving Father had his best moment of the trip......

The Cappy carked it! Well first of all the battery went. We couldn't work out what would have been better... it carking it in the middle of nowhere or it carking it in Grumpy's driveway! There was some suspicion that he had been out there in the middle of the night sabotaging the poor Cappy! But then it got worse! We did a tyre! More glee from Grumpy!

But really when it comes down to it we willingly took the ribbing from Grumpy because he had the skills and know how to fix it! It did however, break his heart to touch a Holden! He also took extra special care in washing his hands so he didn't catch Holden germs!
