So we got to show the boys what a Barramundi looks like. Daddy was hoping to show them what one looks like on the end of a hook but as he spent his whole fishing trip spewing over the side of the boat THAT didn't happen! They had to settle for ones in tanks! (There are photos of him doing this but my brother in law reckons what goes on on the boat stays on the boat!)
This is an Olive Python.... known to have eaten small dogs!!!!
These three were great mates real quick!
Then it was onto the blue tongue lizards....
and Dragons......
Ben was thrilled except the lizard kept trying to escape. There was no way i was touching it! It could have run off through the croc enclosure and I still wouldn't have touched any of them!
Ryan found him quite awkward to handle.
Daddy was quite comfortable with it wrapped around his neck!
My favourite were the ones behind glass! I did really think the geckos were cool! Although i didn't notice the friend in the photo until after!
The boys spent ages trying to get this frill necked lizard to frill its neck! They mustn't be that annoying! Who'd have thought!
Next on the agenda was nursing a croc. Oxymoron that phrase isn't it!
This is Rosie's favourite animal. She would love to have one as a pet. Which apparently lunatics do up there!
I wasn't convinced that the rubber about around it's snout was big enough!
Benny thought he was really heavy!
Nath made the croc look tiny!
I made myself have a hold. Keeping my eye on the rubber band the whole time! They felt weird! They are cold and heavy and soft and hard at the same time! Weird!
This was Matthew's highlight......
First Daddy got in to test the waters.....
And yes, that is a croc to Matthews left! When we said "If you boys cant sit still in the car we are going to feed you to the crocodiles!" We meant it!
But Benny screamed "Daddy please don't feed me to the crocodiles!"
Just when Matthew thought his day couldn't get any better.......
We loved Crocosaurus Cove, too! Grant especially liked holding that little croc - it was probably the most exciting part of the day for him.
