6 months of school!

So Ben has been at school for 6 months and this is his entry to the Miles Franklin Brilliant Writers competition. You might remember that Matthew won a prize in last yearscompetition.
 The story is:-

One day a bugy went to a frens house to play chest his frend beet him so he plaid a gen and wun and they had fun and they plaid for eva.

For those of you who aren't fluent in kindy speak his story goes like this:-

One day a budgie went to a friends house to play chess (or chest as it is known in this house! What can I say it is a house full of boob men!) his friend beat him so he played again and won and they had fun and they played for ever.

We had a hysterical conversation with him over the word 'again' he swears it is two words!
Anyway we are very proud of his effort and wish him well in the competition. Gee I hope there are no rules about submitting previously published work!

So we were walking back from the beach while we were in QLD when Matthew timidly asked.
Mum is that a wanted sign?

Talking about S. E. X

We have had a very interesting conversation over dinner tonight. It went something like this:-

Ben: Mummy can you say "X" 100 times fast?
Mummy: XXXXXXXXXXX
*Boys giggling*
Mummy: What is so funny?
Matthew: You said sex!
Mummy: Did I! What is sex?
*More giggling*
Matthew: I don't know
Mummy: So why are you talking about something when you don't know anything about it!
Matthew: Daddy knows all about it!

The conversation then progressed to sex involving pretty ladies (Matthew's idea)to Ryan knowing all about it but not being able to say it. To sexy ladies with penis' (Ben) and then hysteria when I explained that pretty and sexy ladies don't have them!
The conversation then moved onto when they could have sex (never!) or when they have found a pretty lady who they love a lot. We then covered where it was appropriate to talk about it (at home at the dinner table, never at school!) and who they could discuss it with. This part went like this.....

Mummy: So Mummy and Daddy will always talk to you and answer your questions who else could you talk to?
Matthew: We could talk to Grumpy and Nanna Bev.
Mummy: That's right. Why do you think you can always talk to them?
Matthew: Because they do it a lot!

In the wrap up of this conversation we discovered that pretty ladies and grumpy old men have lots of sex and Daddy knows all about it!
