Nathan, 29, Aeronautical engineer, Matthew, 4, preschool student, Ryan, 3, Ratbag but oh so cute and Benny, 18 months, Baby! We currently live in Canberra, Australia's national capital. Pleased to meet you all!

Funny Boys

This morning i was having my usual shower being watched by my usual audience (Ben) when he started to unravel the toilet paper roll. (His favourite game) I told him no and he persisted. I could see him thinking "there is no way that lady is going to get out of that little room and stop me doing this!" So i did just that with a little smack on the hand, to prove i meant it. Well he then cracked it and stomped off out of the bathroom........with the toilet paper stuck on his new boots! End result, one unraveled toilet paper roll and one mummy resigned to the fact that toilet paper is just going to be wasted in this household!

My new years resolution

This year my new years resolution was to socialise more often. The last 4 years have been spent at home tending to the needs of my children. Well this year I wanted to do something for myself. BC (before children) i was a very sociable person who loved to entertain. So i am reclaiming some of the old me and trying to integrate it into the new me. However, i probably shouldn't have informed Nathan of my aims as he has been assisting me in my efforts to be more social. First he invited all of the neighbours over for his birthday dinner. Now, we did have a lovely time. It was so good to get to know the people we live close too. However, it was the BBQ for ALL of his work colleagues 3 days later, THEN his boss who is interviewing him for a promotion the day after that! That made me think I'd picked the wrong issue to resolve! But it has worked out beautifully because I met some lovely ladies at the BBQ who have been over for morning tea. I can see the "Social Jenni" starting to reappear, just a little. She hasn't fully reappeared because that Jenni definitely wouldn't be sitting here in PJ's with god knows what smudged on her shoulder, her hair in the same ponytail as two days ago and face devoid of makeup. But we are on the improve no less!

Welcome!

Hi and welcome to the ramblings of the mother of three boys, the eldest 4 yrs and the youngest 18 months. This really is a social experient to see if it is, in fact, possible for a woman to raise three boys and still retain her sanity! So wish me luck in keeping this blog up to date and tune in because I'm sure i will have thousands of funny stories to share over the years!
