I do believe that the boys have had enough of winter and are ready for Spring. So much so they decided to give it a helping hand!
They are clumps of grass that the boys have thrown into the tree to "green" things up a bit!
The other explanation of these pictures could be they had to fight their way through the long grass to get to their back yard!
